"Blessed are they who heal you of self-despisings. Of all services which can be done to man, I know of none more precious."  William Hale White

After many years of struggling without knowing where the problem lay, I finally got to be diagnosed with ADHD.

Although a common and easily identifiable disorder, in Kenya it is still rare to find a General Practitioner (read "Doctor") to diagnose the condition so the only way is a psychiatrist. Ultimately, the solution for most of the low to middle income earners will end up struggling with it for the whole of their lifetime.

Another challenge we face is that since it is a relatively new issue, we are yet to get ADD/ADHD coaching locally. So the only way is via online personal research.

During my struggles to identify the issue I was blessed to stumble upon Stacey Turis' site www.staceturis.com  which provided a lot of insight to the challenges, resources and fun that is ADHD/ADD.

Furthermore, I give thanks for my lovely wife Sarah, who is facing the journey with me. Especially for persevering the 10 years when we didn't know what was happening.

Right now I'm on medication and with the support of my friends, and my ADHD tribe (Stacey's phrase) I believe I'll rise to the challenges.

For those new members of the tribe, I urge you not to give up. Find help any way you can and leave a comment (I'll try to reply to all that I get).

Blessed Love,

Chris
